Dear OLV Parents and Students,
I am happy to welcome you to the 2014-2015 school year! I am looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure that your child can achieve his/her highest potential. I recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. A strong partnership and continuous communication with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for your child’s success. I will do my very best to carry out my responsibilities as best as I can. I ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
1) Attends school daily and arrives on time ready for the day’s learning experience.
2) Completes all homework assignments. Completed homework assignments must be ready to be turned in to the teacher at the beginning of the class period.
3) It is the student's responsibility to place their completed assignments in a safe place where it will be easily found. If the student turns in an assignment five minutes after the teacher asked for it, it will be counted late.
4) Reads daily to develop a love of reading. This will also help them improve their vocabulary and literacy skills.
5) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
6) Informs you promptly if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject
6) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school and go on to college
I will be sending home a newsletter containing the school and class rules so that you and your child can review them together. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at (915) 859-6448 or through email at [email protected].
I thank you for your support and look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Anderson
